MOZILLA FESTIVAL LONDON: GAME DESIGN WORKSHOP FOR WEB LITERACY
Game Design for Web Literacy – Building and Teaching the Web
Are you a gamer? How about becoming a game designer for a change?
We contributed to Mozilla Festival in London with “Game design for web literacy”, a workshop we co-designed and co-facilitated in collaboration with Matteo Menapace, for the track “Building and Teaching the Web”.
In this session participants worked in teams to hack an existing game with a new goal: to teach people something.
Using paper, markers, pawns, dices and other props, they made a playable prototype of their new game, which other people could play for fun and use as an educational tool.
We communicate to know each other better, to keep you posted about our events and workshops, to tell us who you are. Are you a young individual with a restless mind in a creative mood? Are you a parent and you want to involve your child in one of our workshops? Would you like us to bring the Flow Athens experience at your school, in your organization, or in your town?
Please email us about anything you want to share with us: your questions, thoughts and suggestions. Tell us about your interest in learning and how we could collaborate.
